Shooting a Hole in One

Everyone around the world knows the term getting a hole in one. It is the epitome of the game of golf. You hit the ball one time and bang, in the hole it goes. Unfortunately in life and in golf you very rarely get the opportunity to hit a hole in one. It is often a lot more struggle and hit and miss, trial and error before you actually reach the destination you are after.

Think about the poor guy trying valiantly to become a legal resident of the United States of America. He does every thing right to attempt to get his US Visa and he fills out every line on the US Citizenship application and the USCIS still makes him jump through more hoops in order to become a citizen. It would seem that once all the paperwork was properly done and in order that he or she would be done with the headache and the trouble, a hole in one if you will. But that is seldom the way it happens.

Often times there is some small little item that was forgotten or that someone thinks is unclear and the application gets sent back for clarification or even worse, completely denied all together. Life is full of little ups and downs but it often seems like this type of thing contains more downs than the ups.

You would think that since the USCIS has deigned the Citizenship application for the US Visas that once those questions were answered satisfactorily you would get the proverbial ball in the hole and walk away with the trophy, But that is generally not the way things work and most people have to wait years and spend many, many thousands of dollars in order to become legal to remain here in this country.

There are times when people must wonder if it is worth the hassle to do something that is so difficult and takes so long. And further more why would anyone put them selves through all of that simply to become a legal resident of some place.

The answer is, that once a person has completed the USCIS Citizenship application and gets his or her US Visa then they are a member of one of the richest nations in the world with the most diverse pool lf people and the ability of anyone of its citizens to do anything from becoming a plumber or lawyer to becoming a millionaire or president of the country. You are only limited by yourself. And there are not many places in the world where that can transpire.

No matter what you do in life you should always attempt to do your best and get that hole in one. Every once in a while you will but in the times that you do not you will know that you have done your best and that is a good feeling in and of its self, so no matter what the outcome, if you’re doing the best you’ll be  a winner.
